Launching into ride or walk to school

This morning was a pretty special time for us. During the last year we have been working hard with the ACT Government to help initiate a program that gets kids psyched on riding or walking to school. One of the aspects to this is to provide Freestyle BMX coaching clinics & demos to schools across the ACT, with a custom built FACT BMX Club trailer we’ll be hauling around with fold out ramps to ride! Academy BMX have helped us out with the bikes kids will be riding in schools & riders will be wearing Pro-tec helmets – so the students involved will be legit straight off the bat!

We’re pretty excited to be able to get kids into riding BMX in a positive way & this morning we kicked it off with Rhysty handing over the first batch of bikes & helmets to schools as well as Chris Harti, Tyson Jones-Peni & Mikey Ross launched into a box jump demo in front of 500 screaming primary school students. Click on the photos Rhysty shot to see them bigger. If your school is apart of this initiative then we’ll see you soon, if not, if you live in the ACT hit up your teacher to see how you can get involved with riding BMX at your school!
