We’ve been talking about it for a while amongst ourselves & let it slip here & there, but we are officially filming for our first DVD. There isn’t much more to say for now other then the team are putting the Hammer Down filming wise & we’re pretty excited about it!

On the Easter long weekend we held the ACT jam across three of Canberra’s finest parks, Weston Creek, Belconnen & Tuggeranong with a final jam the store. It was real awesome to see a lot of riders to make it to all of the jams, both interstate & local. Hopefully the video captures the good times, the atmosphere & most of all, the badass riding that went down at each of the stops.

For us, the highlight was the jam at Back Bone. It was awesome to have everyone shredding & hanging out right here, out the front of the store. Watching the younger riders session with the older dudes & the vibe was sweet – it was Sunday arvo after three other sessions & a party had gone down, but riders were still shredding their asses off. It was sweet.
After every jams, we handed out voting slips for riders & watchers on to vote for their favourite rider & favourite trick at each park. After all the jams were done, votes were tallied & the riders were announced. The rider with the most amount of votes from all four stops was accumulated & crowned ‘King of the ACT’. You’ll have to watch the video to watch the results.

A huge shout out again has to go to the brands below who were down to support the first year back of hopefully a long running jam. These brands are helping to ensure BMX is alive & healthy in Australia by supporting a rider run jam, so support them!

Thanks to everyone that helped out on the day, you all made it an awesome time & hopefully we’ll see you all next year!

West coast friend & trail builder Josh Cernotta just finished building up his new Solid with a whole bunch of parts that he got from the east coast (us). He also graced with a few ripping shots of him & the boys from the trails. They say the west coast is the best coast.. With trails like these, I can see how they are making the claim.

At the moment, our royal rat dude Seb Scott is just finishing up his last stint in the mines before he heads off on a European vacation, where he’ll hook up with good mate Glen Hamilton AKA Hammertime. While Josh is about to head to Canada soon to hang with his brother Mike.

Save Hazelbrook Trails Petition

After 16 years of existence old Hazo trails in Hazelbrook NSW are coming under fire & need your help to ensure their survival. I’m not sure on their current state, but I do know that 10-15 years ago they were the premiere trail spot in NSW. Back before it was a legal spot we would be sure to hit Hazelbrook the day before & the afternoon after a Sydney race event. In fact, I think there would have been a period of time where I was up there every weekend to session with the locals. Dudes like Glen Newlands, Marrick, Cuzzo, Boxin’ Joey Lopez, Knoxy & too many other dudes that I’ve unfortunately forgotten. Jimmy Levan has ridden these trails for f**k’s sake!
So get on to the link above & sign the petition, then if you live in the area get up there & create some memories like these for yourself & others for years to come. It’s extremely rare in this country to have a set of trails make it to the 16 year mark. So let’s hope that the locals achieve their goal of saving the joint & then take the opportunity to make it look like the mecca it should be.
